Core Charts
I examine the patterns present in both natal charts, your composite chart, and key moments in your relationship to decode the astrological language of your partnership.
Venus
Venus, the planet of love, is the focus when electing a wedding chart. She must be in good condition and complement the core charts.
Moon & Sun
The Moon and Sun should be seeing each other harmoniously and not engaging in challenging interactions with problematic planets.
Mercury
Weddings involve planning, travel, communication, and coordination. We aim for Mercury to be as happy as possible.
7th House
The 7th House of Relationships guides the timing of your ceremony. This House should be *sparkling*.

Dolly Parton & Carl Dean

Ringgold, GA

Together until Carl’s passing in 2025
This gorgeous chart has angular Moon, Venus, and Jupiter (who also happens to be exalted). The Moon, on fixed star Spica, is rising towards the ASC and applying to Venus, who is in the 7th House ruling the 1st & 8th Houses. Venus is in her decan in Aries and flows with Mars in a sign-based sextile. Mercury, though combust, is in domicile. The Sun is shining brightly in his house joy and sees the Moon from a trine. This fiery Venus chart was perfect for their elopement.
George & Brad Takei
14 September 2008
Los Angeles, CA
3:00 PM
Together since the 1980s
Wed after gay marriage was legalized
We have a strong Venus in domicile in the 10th House, conjunct Mars and Mercury (triple conjunction!). Jupiter rising in Capricorn happens to be George Takei’s Jupiter return as well. The very luminous full Moon is in her house joy and trines her rulership of the 7th House, where the Lot of Fortune resides. Retrograde Uranus with the Moon is opposing Saturn & the Sun and takes on the significance of breaking free from outdated marriage laws.
Gabrielle Union & Dwyane Wade
30 August 2014
Miami, FL
3:00 PM
Gabriel and Dwyane’s star-studded destination wedding was well-supported by Venus and Jupiter in 9th House Leo. Their wedding was known to have strict privacy protocols and NDAs were required of all vendors and guests. You can see the shroud of secrecy with the Moon in the 12th House ruling the 8th House of Intimacy & Contracts. Secrecy, however, extended into their marriage, resulting in relationship repair needed later down the line. Fallen Moon in a dark house co-present with peregrine Saturn and ruler Mars, the Venus-Mars square, the Venus-Lilith conjunction, and a mutable rising reveal an underlying instability. Nonetheless, the event itself was well attended by their loved ones, and domicile 10th House Mercury ruling the 7th House shows that the wedding was intricately planned and produced (I later went to work for this planner!).
