THE “OFFISH” BIO

With over a decade of bicoastal experience in event production and a background in luxury weddings, Belinda has orchestrated an impressive range of gatherings—from charity galas, Mitzvahs, and celebrity soirées to influencer events, branded activations, pop-ups, conferences, networking socials, and, of course, weddings.

After returning to Los Angeles in 2018, Belinda envisioned a company that viewed events as part of a much bigger picture. She noticed that, too often, the industry focused solely on “the day of” without considering the environmental impact left behind. Driven to change that narrative, she set out to connect with like-minded professionals and spark a movement toward more conscious, sustainable celebrations. From this vision, Opus Events Co was born.

In addition to her planning expertise, Belinda is a professionally trained opera singer—a background that naturally complements her work in crafting unforgettable events. Her years in opera taught her how to create immersive, meticulously coordinated experiences, a skill she now channels into designing weddings and events that are both breathtaking and meaningful.

Beyond the world of events, Belinda wears many hats. She is an astrologer and trauma coach, an avid pole dance enthusiast, and a dedicated practitioner of meditation and yoga. She sings in a community choir, tends to her worm compost, and brews her own kombucha—living her values of creativity, mindfulness, and sustainability every day.

IN MY VOICE

  • I identify as a first-generation Chinese-Taiwanese American and queer, neurodivergent femme.

  • I’m often told I’m calm, organized, and—unexpectedly—the therapist my couples never knew they needed. I think my calm comes from years of practicing Vipassana meditation, my experience in high stress environments, and my work with trauma. It’s the perfect counterbalance to my type-A tendencies. For me, wedding planning is all about finding the sweet spot between striving for excellence and gracefully letting go of what’s beyond our control. My goal is to lift as much of the logistical weight off your shoulders as possible, so you can truly enjoy the process together. I keep our meetings relaxed and conversational—and yes, my sense of humor (and occasional colorful language) tends to make an appearance.

  • I have a love for blending the eclectic—mixing modern and vintage styles with ease—and I’m naturally drawn to organic materials, living elements, and unexpected pops of color. Some of my design inspirations include Justina Blakeney, Kelly Wearstler, Zia Tile, and Flamingo Estate.

My goal is to create events that feel both of-the-moment and timeless. I often collaborate with other creatives, which allows the design process to be highly dynamic and imaginative. Many couples come to me with ideas they have no idea how to bring to life—think of me as your personal Manifestation Fairy, curating, transforming, and elevating your Pinterest dreams into reality.

I design from the inside out, taking the time to truly get to know my couples so each detail reflects their personalities and relationship. The design process is my creative playground—where vision, meaning, and beauty come together to create something entirely unique to you.

  • I'm pretty introverted and enjoy my alone time.

If you’re an astrology nerd like me…
I have a day chart with my sect team in fire signs.

  • • food (I’m pretty sure it’s my love language)

    • matcha oat latte with a dash of honey

    • fresh, local, seasonal flowers

    • plant medicine

    • museums

    • Dirty Projectors & Moses Sumney
